Ea rules the air and is popular with the Avanthar who believe that the Deva from which they are descended were sent by Ea. Sailors are also known to prey to Ea in addition to nenya when hoping for steady winds to speed them along.
Her worshipers are the ultimate free spirits. They believe that it is improper to allow oneself to be tied down for any length of time. They are always seeking new adventures and new journeys. It is said that she is the favorite of Ladros, because she is the one who goes off to gather new knowledge, always to return. It is this love of adventure that led people to offer a prayer or other devotion before setting out on a journey - and hence become the patron of travellers.
Her followers love to climb and explore as high places as they can, if nothing else than to see the horizon. They are also known to be excellent mapmakers.
Ea gave no gift to the races of man, choosing instead to be an inspiration for their own greatness.
Her holy symbol is a compass rose, with a blank circle in the middle. It is customary for her worshipers to fill this circle with a symbol that has personal meaning to them.
