Description

Meydal is an old, crone-ish dwarven woman who will attempt to arrange marriages for lovelorn male dwarves. The prospective suitors must pay 50% of the base fee up front, and agree to reimburse Meydal for any major expenses (travel, gifts) she incurs during her search. She employs a regular network of 10-12 informants (mostly young dwarven men in their thirties and forties) who keep her informed of events in The Dwarrow. Frequently, however, a bride must be imported from outside the city. An applicant’s monthly percentage chance of finding a bride are equal to 1/3 x (CHA + APP, discounting racial adjustments) + 1% for each 1000gp he is willing to offer as a dowry.
