It is late in the day on the 15th. The sun is well on its way to closing, the main portion of the gate is closed. As we approach the city, a few hundred yards away. We feel a tremendous lurch. Everybody except Penelope is bent over lurching, our heads pounding. Turin’s horse throws him to the ground. The cart horse falls to the ground, unable to get up.

After a couple minutes, the pain starts to ease, our stomachs empty. We look around, and think we are in the same place at the same time. We look at the animals.

Eugene looks at the contents of the cart to see if there is evidence of time passage. There isn’t.

A little out from the gate there are two women, one tall and one short. The short one has her hands on her hips. As we get closer, the tall one is Lucille, and the short one is Jillie. Lucille was sent by Lyza to watch for us.

Jillie is pissed off. We’ve been gone for 4 weeks. She thinks we’ve abandoned our post. Martin is flummoxed.
