First thing in the morning, as we sit at a table eating breakfast, Antonio enters. “She’s gone, they took her, you have to find her. ”
He and Marita were going shopping at the market, near the Heights Market. They were supposed to meet at 8: 00 or so. When she didn’t show, he ran by her house, which looked like people were in a frenzy. He then came here.
He takess to the merchant family mansion in the Heights(I19). Antonio lines at the Tanley house next door where he is a foster exchange noble. We tell Antonio to head to his house, and we will investigate. We walk past the Maggia mansion, the guards are on high alert.
We make small talk, but they don’t seem to want to admit anything is going on. We try to get them to lets in, but they don’t want to be helpful. Martin notices a guard coming in from the house. Seems to be an officer. He claims there is no problem. We carry onp the street.
We call Antonio out, and suggest we go find the go-between, Agatha. (Agatha is an acquaintance of a halfling named Notia).
Antonio describes anicorn necklace and medallion that shesually wears. With Eugene’s help he makes a good description of it.

Martin casts Locate Object and gets a ping of something. It is in the Geronde family residence. It seems to be inside the residence. We send Antonio to look for clues and we go to talk to Lady Geronde about the soul trapping mirror as an excuse to get in. Turin notes that the grounds are pretty open, with a few trees and gardens and flower beds. South of the house is a walled garden. As we approach the house, Martin’ spell fades, but he notes the object is likely on the second or third floor.
We knock on the door, and the maidservant asks what we can do to help. We ask to speak to Lady Geronde and she putss in a side room. Lady Roweena comes down, and we explain the life trapping mirror situation. She offered to let her take care of the mirror. We describe the creature and she is interested. She askss to drop it off in the morning.
On te way out, Eugent tries to message Marita. “Marita, we are Antonio’s friends, are you okay?” but gets no response. He tries again, same thing.
We go to Pirandello’s Pastries, to Martin’s chagrin. As it is lunchtime, the store is a little busy, but we wait. Eugene is entranced by the smells and buys many pastries.
Eventually Martin gets Jillie’s attention. It does not go well. Eventually Martin leaves the bracelet on the table and goes to leave and breaks through to Jillie and they makep, sort of. Martin also tells JIllie about Marita. Eugene makes a picture of Marita to show to her. She thinks she may have seen her but not recently.
We go to the Rose Garden Inn to see if we can find Agatha. Arada becomes Notia. Arada befriends an older halfling named Emilia who is charming. We all have lunch, but there is no sign of Agatha.
While we are waiting. Penelope tellss about the swords that were given to her from her father’s study. They are very nice swords. Penelope wants to keep them, but she ’ s just a little freaked out. She would like to know who the friend is, but one step at a time.
Around 1:30 we head out and go back to Antonios and go into Tenley Manor. It is dark. Martin suggests he needs to tell his father. Antonio sends a servant to try to find him. In the meantime, he decides to tell his foster mother Stella Tanley what is happening.
She is a tall - ish rugged no - nonsense woman. Definitely an outdoors person.

We sump the situation to his foster mom.
We also explain about the necklace that is in Lady Roweena’s house. We also suggest that we could send a message to Marita through the wall. She suggests she could talk to Marita’s mother (Grilla), as they are neighbors and all. We told her we will come back tomorrow.
