We have patrol near the copper gate and the Commons. We have been acting as gate guards, learning the basics of commerce. Near the end of our shift, we see a solitary figure approaching. It appears to be an old woman. We seem to recognize her as a woman who was breeding dangerous animals and got expelled. She seems to have a baby red dragon on her shoulder.
Eugene goes to talk to the Barracks captain next door. Martin, Penelope, and Arada go to the road to talk. Turin hangs back. Martin says she can’ t come in without a license for her cat, or other pets into the city. She casts a curse on Martin. something something spot on head, rainbows, blah blah, you ‘re dead.
Coming back, Eugene notices the four ofs have orange dots on their foreheads. Eugene goes to talk to her. She curses him too. Eugene doesn’ t know what the critter is, but can look itp. Another guard says something about a new curse running around and spots and such. And we should look around the thieves ’ market.
Martin casts Detect Poison and Disease and finds nothing. Eugene casts detect magic, and all the spots are magic which is Abjuration. We decide to go back home to talk to Thom. Porky says Thom is down in her lab. Porky thinks there is a drink that might break the curse. We talk to Thom in the basement. Thom says it is orange. She also says she isn’ t good with curses.
We change out of our guard uniforms and head to the The Waterlogged Rat (U08)in the commons. It gives off the vibe of a dive bar, dimly lit, dingy, smoke filled. Turin thinks he has been there once or twice. As we stand in the entrance, we get a queasy feeling and we find ourselves walking down the street towards the Waterlogged Rat.
We sit at the bar. The barkeep thinks we are in the wrong bar. We ask about the spots, and the barkeep gets freaked out. He calls over Mike the dockworker who says we are screwed. Joey says we need some of the juice to drink. A shot of owlbearrine stirred with an awakened tree branch. Eugene buys a round of drinks. The stories started a week or so ago, shortly after the ship came in.
We decide to go to the Lohisian Temple(R12). It is a nice clean white stone building. As we walk in, there is a statue of the goddess. We gop to the check in desk. There is a female half elf(Raven)and a male human. They agree to look ats. So far they are very calm. They look ats one at a time. A gentleman(Herman)walks in with a gaggle of students. Penelope goes first and tells the story. The students react. One tells about rumors on the street. The doctor does comment it seems to get yellower but we should have a couple days.
As we start walking over, Eugene passes out. The rest ofs feel a lurch and a sense of nausea. The rest ofs wakep looking out the lights of our own private rooms. Middle of the day, we are dressed. Turin sends a message to Lyza telling her what ‘s happening. We meet with the doctors. Shirin (an elf) is on duty. We go to a meeting room and are told the seniors will be withs soon. Herman and others come in. They tells they are going to kicks loose for the day and asks to come back tomorrow. Shirin letss out.
