```col-mdflexGrow=2.5===# OutlineIn this final encounter, the players face the Cursed Doll, the malevolent spirit of the toy maker's daughter. The players must fight her in the heart of the workshop, where her power is strongest. To win, the players must trap her soul in the cursed mirror and release it to put her spirit to rest. > [!read-aloud] **Read Aloud** > > As you descend into the hidden workshop, the air grows thick and cold, and a deep sense of unease fills the room. Half-finished dolls lie strewn across workbenches, their glass eyes staring blankly ahead. Mechanical parts hang from the walls, some still faintly ticking with the last vestiges of life. In the center of the room stands a broken mirror, its surface cracked but glowing faintly with a sickly, pale light. Strange arcane symbols are scrawled across the walls and floors, glowing faintly as though feeding off some dark energy. The atmosphere feels heavy, oppressive, as if the very air itself is charged with dark magic. > > From the shadows, a figure steps forward-a life-sized doll with delicate porcelain features, her face cracked and her eyes burning with malevolence. She raises her hand, and the room seems to come alive around her. Dolls fall from the shelves, marionettes swing down from the ceiling, and mechanical toys begin to rattle and shift. In a voice filled with sorrow and rage, she hisses, "You abandoned him... you left us to suffer!" The time has come to stop the cursed doll, or risk becoming the next victims of her twisted wrath. > # Defeating the Cursed Doll The only objective is to defeat the Cursed Doll in combat, but damaging her physically won't be enough. The players must use the Cursed Mirror (found in the toy shop) to trap her soul and release it. - During combat, players can use the Cursed Mirror to **absorb her essence** by holding it up and making a DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana) or Wisdom (Insight) check as an action.- **Once her soul is trapped inside** , a player must make a DC 14 Charisma saving throw to free the spirit and bring peace to the toy maker's daughter.# Terrain ### Confined Space The workshop is cluttered with workbenches, tools, and scattered doll parts. Moving through the space is difficult. Any area between the shelves or workbenches counts as difficult terrain, halving movement speed. ### Shattered Glass The broken shards of the cursed mirror are scattered across the floor. If a player or creature moves more than 10 feet in a single round, they must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d4 slashing damage from the sharp glass shards. # Lair Actions ## On initiative count 20 ### Strings of Control Hanging marionette strings shoot down from the ceiling, attempting to ensnare the players. Each creature must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw or become restrained by the strings. A restrained creature can use its action to make a DC 14 Strength or Dexterity check to break free. ## On initiative count 10 ### Falling Dolls Several dolls fall from the shelves, animated by dark magic. Each player within 10 feet of a shelf must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 2d6 bludgeoning damage as the heavy dolls crash down upon them. ## On initiative count 5 ### Eerie Reflection The cursed mirror flares to life, and the reflections of the players in the shards animate and attack. Each player must make a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or be haunted by their reflection, taking 1d4 psychic damage as the image reaches out to claw at their mind. # Monsters 1d4 x ![[1473394]]|Animated Doll![[1473398]]|Cursed Doll``````col-md![[plots/night-of-the-living-dolls/table-of-contents]]![[~attachments/dndline.png]]```
