# General Info
Vittra Northdaughter is a tall and statuesque female half-orc tribal warrior (Neutral). She keeps her long hair in rows of braids and wears rugged outdoor clothes together with a fur cloak. The many tattoos that cover her face and body indicate a Hinterland origin. She tends to think carefully before she speaks.

Vittra is a nomad who often spends the autumn near Oxgate before travelling south for the winter. She was born with a strangely shaped purple birthmark, which her tribe considered a sign of bad luck. After a hunting accident when she was a teenager, the tribe's shaman foretold that she would one day divide and break the tribe. Vittra was forced to leave, and now wanders the wilderness in solitude.

Vittra is prone to interpret comments and questions literally, which may lead to complications. For example, if the characters ask her what she has seen, she will answer only that question and omit what she may have heard.

**Armour and weapon:** Vittra carries a longbow and a quiver with 18 arrows, a battleaxe, and two long daggers. She wears hide armour.

**Trait:** No matter what, I never lose my temper.

**Ideal:** Independence. It is everyone's responsibility to be able to fend for themselves.

**Bond:** I will always be loyal to my tribe regardless of how they treated me.

**Flaw:** I distrust magic in general and mages in particular. I also deeply resent the shaman who cast me out.

## information
Vittra has a deep understanding and knowledge of beasts, monsters, and others who dwell in the wild. She knows that stenbumling trolls live in the area, and that the drow sometimes cross the forest on their night-time raids.

Vittra also knows where [[plots/murder-at-the-old-wolf-inn/npcs/enoch-the-birdwhisperer|Enoch the Birdwhisperer]] lives in the forest, and she has seen him collecting leaves and herbs for [[plots/murder-at-the-old-wolf-inn/npcs/inga-broadhammer|Inga Broadhammer]].

She has seen Artemis and his fellow soldiers visit the Old Wolf Inn many times, and while Inga was always courteous, Vittra noticed that Inga's politeness was forced – but she is unsure why.

Vittra strongly distrusts magic and mages of all kinds. If she is asked, she will quietly say that [[plots/murder-at-the-old-wolf-inn/npcs/cael-thraelive|Cael Thraelive]] is probably involved in the murder.

## what she hides
Vittra knows that the smugglers have threatened Enoch once, and although Enoch doesn't know about it, she tends to keep watch over him. She is also aware that smugglers visit the Old Wolf Inn, as she has seen their tracks leading to the inn.

On the night that Artemis died, Vittra was near the inn to check her traps. She heard soft chanting from Cael's room and saw a flickering light in his window. She hasn't mentioned this to anyone, as she believes that all people – including magic-users like Cael – have the right to choose their own beliefs and religions.

In addition, Vittra knows that someone is hiding in the stables, but she believes that it is a vagabond who can't afford to pay for a room, and therefore she hasn't told Inga about it.

## what she lies about
Vittra always tells the truth. According to the traditions in the Hinterlands, lying is strictly forbidden and taboo. However, Vittra dislikes meddling in other people's business, so she might choose to withhold some information.
