# General Info
Inga Broadhammer is a female dwarven veteran (CG). She is short and strong, even for a dwarf, and usually wears her hair in intricate braids. Inga wears practical linen clothes in earthy colours, an apron, and low boots. She likes dwarven-made earrings in symmetrical shapes and walks with a slight limp.

Inga is the innkeeper and owner of the Old Wolf Inn. When she was young, she left her tight-knit dwarven community in the mountains to seek her fortunes against her parents' wishes. However, after years of wild adventures, she was severely injured in a fight with a raging basilisk. The wound never healed properly, and she has been limping ever since.

When Inga retired from her adventuring life, she bought a neglected tavern with her share of the treasure from her last quest. She has spent several years renovating the run-down tavern and turning it into a cosy and rustic inn. But despite all her hard work, she struggles to make ends meet.

At present, Inga is fretful and on edge, which she tries to hide by constantly offering her guests free food and drinks. If asked, she claims that she is worried that people will stop coming to the inn because of the unfortunate death of a guest. In truth, she is afraid that she may accidentally have killed [[person/artemis-nahanna|Artemis Nahanna]].

**Armour and weapon:** Inga doesn't wear any armour, but she keeps a heavy crossbow under the bar and an old warhammer in her wardrobe.

**Trait:** I enjoy sharing stories of my old adventuring days and like to add a little bit of embellishment to make them better.

**Ideal:** Adventurousness. Fortune favours the bold.

**Bond:** I will never return home to my family because I can't bear the risk that my parents are disappointed with me.

**Flaw:** I am stubborn beyond the grave.

## information
Inga will admit that Lieutenant [[plots/murder-at-the-old-wolf-inn/npcs/artemis-nahanna|Artemis Nahanna]] and his fellow soldiers have frequently visited the Old Wolf Inn during the last couple of months. Since they are soldiers, they have the right to request free food and shelter.

Inga will also mention that Artemis retired early after dinner and told her that it was most imperative that he wasn't to be disturbed, since he had important work to do.

If asked, Inga will let the characters know that later during the evening, Artemis ordered a mug of tea, which she made for him before she went to bed.

Inga also thinks that she heard some noises late at night. It was a door closing and some sort of singing – but she may have dreamt it.

## what she hides
Inga doesn't want anyone to know how much she disliked Artemis, who frequently took advantage of his position and demanded free food, wine, and lodgings for himself and all his soldiers.

She also doesn't want to share that the inn is struggling to earn its keep, or that she sometimes helps local smugglers by storing their contraband in a hidden room in the inn's basement.

If asked about the herbs in the kitchen, Inga will reluctantly admit that some of the herbs and dried mushrooms might be poisonous in larger quantities, but points out that she only uses them for remedies or simple ailments, for example to treat the guests' horses.

## what she lies about
Inga will lie about her attempt to make Artemis nauseated by adding crushed frog leaves to his food, as she is afraid that she may have accidentally killed him. Her aim was only to leave Artemis with an upset stomach so that he would assume he had eaten spoiled food and avoid the inn in the future.

She is entirely unaware that it was Jon who actually murdered Artemis.
