Description
The Stenbumling troll is a type of giant that is distantly related to trolls. It is large and muscular and can often be found in mountainous regions. The stenbumling troll is a younger version of a bergatroll, a kind of stone giant. Both stenbumling trolls and bergatrolls spend the majority of their lifetimes hibernating for extensive periods. They aren’t necessarily evil but tend to be brooding and ill-tempered, especially if they are roused prematurely from their hibernation. However, stenbumling trolls are also known to be easily distracted by beautiful items and charismatic humanoids. According to stories, they sometimes ally with wood elves or help children return safety to their village in exchange for shiny trinkets or a song.
