Special Abilities
Incorporeal Movement
The Rust Engineer can move through other creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. It takes 5 force damage if it ends its turn inside an object.
Repairing Touch
As a bonus action, the Rust Engineer can touch a piece of machinery or a construct, repairing it for 7 hit points.

Actions
Rusting Touch
Melee Spell Attack: +5 to hit , reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 9 necrotic damage. If the target is a creature, it can’t regain hit points until the start of the Rust Engineer’s next turn. If the target is a construct or a nonmagical metal object, it takes an extra 7 necrotic damage.
Haunting Repair (Recharge 5-6)
The Rust Engineer targets one non-functional or damaged construct or mechanical object within 60 feet of it. The target returns to a functional state as if it had been repaired over the course of 1 hour of work. Constructs repaired this way become hostile and will attack the nearest creature until they are destroyed or until the Rust Engineer loses concentration (as if concentrating on a spell).

Description
Rust Engineers are the spectral remains of long-dead mechanics and inventors, forever bound to their final moments. Trapped in a cycle of endless repairs, they continue to maintain the machinery they cared for in life. Manifesting as floating apparitions wielding ethereal tools, they are surrounded by an aura of rust and decay. Parts of their spectral forms flicker with the ghostly image of an apron and workman”s clothing, and their eyes burn with a bright, otherworldly light. Despite their unsettling appearance, they are not innately hostile, but they will fiercely defend the machinery they are committed to repair.
