# General Info
Valken lives with his brother and sister-in-law at the family's estate in virtual retirement. He used to be a pitchman at the [[settlement/horse-market|Horse Market]], whose relentless cheerful patter proved a very successful selling tool. Despite his nephews having taken over the business, Valken still works the market occasionally, but frequently forgets his spiel in mid-sentence, embarrassing himself, and hurting business as well. 
 
 Both are he and Branden are angry that the younger brothers, Heidel and Kronen, no longer consult them about major business decisions.
