# General Info
Has been building ships on the Dorian's banks for nearly 150 years, and his name has become a tradition among shipwrights. Nimrodel came from the Lake of Mists a very long time ago.
 
A tall Noldor elf, with dark hair slightly touched by frost, Nimrodel is one of the leading citizens of the city. He owns and operates four yards for the building and repairing of ships, and is a wealthy man, but because of his long interest and involvement in the political affairs of Haven, he is considered an outcast by the elvish community of [[settlement/erinhir|Erinhir]], who disdain involvement in human affairs. 
 
He has become guildmaster for the [[organization/guild-of-the-ship|Guild of the Ship]], one five "great guilds" that control much of what happens in Haven (see Government of Haven) but takes no side in the nobility/guild struggle; his only interest is in what is good for the city, and the growth of trade and commerce is certainly good for Haven.
 
Since the death of his beloved wife twenty years ago, he has become a melancholy and solitary man, leaving most of the running of his shipyards to his sons, and concentrating his energies on the politics of the city. Nimrodel blames the [[organization/thieves-guild|Thieves' Guild]] for his wife's death, and has been an active opponent of the Guild ever since, even going so far as to assist [[organization/the-black-hand|The Black Hand]] on rare occasions. 
 
Nimrodel is also aware of the true identity of [[person/silverthorne|Silverthorne]] and has offered his home as a place of safety for Silverthonre and his friends (see the scenario [[plots/the-renegade-prince|The Renegade Prince]] for more information).
