# General Info
A year younger than [[person/romano-maggia|Romano Maggia]], Marita has her father's coloring (skin, hair, and eyes), and very beautiful, expressive features. She wears the pendant of the [[organization/sisters-of-the-unicorn|Sisters of the Unicorn]] (as does Adrienne Geronde), but of late has thought seriously of throwing it into the river. 
 
A gold locket, also always around her neck, contains a lock of [[person/antonio-berenstens|Antonio Berensten's]] hair in its tiny compartment. She also has Antonio's golden claw pendant hidden in the bottom of a bureau drawer in her bedroom and occasionally takes it out to stare dreamily at it before the mirror.
 
Marita wants desperately to be with Antonio, but is religious enough to insist that they find a way to be honorably married. She is member of the [[organization/sisters-of-the-unicorn|Sisters of the Unicorn]] a sect that among other things teaches chastity outside of marriage.
 
She is very restless these days while waiting for Antonio to find a solution to their problem, and often takes long walks along the Cliffside overlooking the river. Refer to [[article/scenarios|Scenarios]]: [[plots/the-secret-ceremony|The Secret Ceremony]].
 
Unusually, she wear a second item around her neck: an obsidian pendant with an ivory unicorn. This is a [[item/pendant-of-the-sisters-of-the-unicorn|Pendant of the Sisters of the Unicorn]], and glows red whenever it is held or worn by one who is not sexually chaste. Gilberto believes Marita is worried about his health, and makes a special effort to appear active when she is around the vineyards or winery.
