# General Info
K'maill is a voluptuous, raven-haired beauty who stands almost as tall as her new husband, [[person/bruning-de-la-riis|Bruning de la Riis]]. She dresses in exotic color combinations that reveal her gypsy upbringing, and also reveal an amount of leg and décolletage considered shocking by those in finer society. 
 
Her step-daughter Ingrid and sister-in-law Rutmilla have spread rumors of K'maill's evil magical powers around [[settlement/the-heights|The Heights]], and this is a popular subject of conversation in many of the shops near the Shield Gate. Popular sentiment among the aristocracy (as might be expected) runs overwhelmingly against K'maill - the only allies she has in the de la Riis household are Harz and the boy [[person/carlo-de-la-riis|Carlo de la Riis]] (her husband remains totally unaffected by the criticisms of his neighbors, most of whom he respects little anyway). 
 
At first confused by the hostility of her relations she has now become angry, and deliberately plays on their fears of witchcraft (by chanting gibberish phrases in the gypsy argot in their presence, snatching locks of their hair as fuel for her "voodoo", etc.). This response of course fuels their efforts to discredit her.
